Education and Training Development Programs
The Company's social care for education is evidenced by efforts to promote education and enhance the quality of human resources. Examples include the provision of school facilities, computer training for elementary school teachers, and scholarships for students to study at President University, internship opportunities, as well as providing students with comparative studies inside the industrial estate through the "Kota Jababeka Amazing Tour".
In 2009, the Company also conducted a number of CSR programs in collaboration with external institutions:
- School renovation and provision of educational facilities with PT Mattel Indonesia
- Provision of scholarships to disadvantaged students with PT Air Products Indonesia
- Renovation of educational facilities and school buildings with PT Cikarang Listrindo
- School building repainting program with PT International Paint Indonesia
- Campaign "Safety Riding for Ojek Community" with PT ICI Paints Indonesia
Community Health Service Improvement Program
One major initiative in connection with health care is the Cheap Medical Treatment Program by the YSPK Clinic, which was established by the Company. The aim of this initiative is to provide the community with easy access to medical services at an affordable cost. This is part of the development of the free medical treatment program, which the Company has been implementing on a continuous basis. In 2009, these programs have helped villagers that reside within the Company's Ring I area. PT Mane Indonesia and Rumah Zakat Indonesia also participated in this program.
In order to increase public health standards, the Company continued its community health programs, which include the fogging of areas prone to disease outbreaks and the mother-child nutrition improvement program. The Company also provided first-aid facilities and held trainings in order to improve school health units in several junior and senior high schools in the district of North Cikarang.
Religious and Community Affairs
Neighborly relationships were strengthened through several religious and community activities carried out by the Company. Together with more than 30 tenants from the industrial estate, the Company distributed food packages in celebration of Idul Fitri and donated animal sacrifices to poor people in several villages that lie within the Company's Ring I area for Idul Adha. Other activities in this field include organizing the "Tabligh Akbar", training for religious groups, renovation of religious facilities, donations to orphanages as well as religious and national holiday's commemoration.
Development of Art and Culture
The Company is highly committed to art and cultural development. Facilitating the making of cultural communities and art and cultural performances manifests its appreciation of cultural heritage of the local community. Jababeka Multi Cultural Centre is one such example of the Company's commitment as it enables a variety of cultural expressions, which to date include wayang kulit, gamelan Jawa, Balinese dance, and Sundanese Karawitan.
In 2009, the Company also conducted "The 2nd International Culture Festival", which was supported by cultural communities on a local, national and international scale.
