Indonesia is one of the countries in Southeast Asia, which is right on the equator. The country lies between the countries of Asia and Australia and is located between the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean.
The area of the Indonesian archipelago is approximately 1,904,569 sq km. The Indonesian archipelago consists of 17,508 islands which makes the largest archipelago in the world.
Indonesia shares borders with Malaysia on Borneo islands, with Papua New Guinea on Papua islands. Other neighboring countries include Timor islands, Singapore, Philippines, Australia, and the union territory of the Andaman, and Nicobar islands in India. Extends from Sabang to Merauke, Indonesia has various ethnic, culture, linguistic and religious diversities.
