Jababeka and Yayasan Banten Selatan Assist Pandeglang Flood Victims
January 10, 2026, Pandeglang – HEAVY rainfall that has been pouring over the Pandeglang Regency since Friday night (January 9, 2026) caused flooding in several areas. As a result, residents’ homes and economic activity centers were submerged, crippling community activities.
Seeing this situation, the Yayasan Pengembangan Masyarakat Banten Selatan (YPMBS), together with Jababeka Group, responded quickly. YPMBS and Jababeka collaborated to collect funds and aid in the form of basic food supplies and essentials, as well as to distribute assistance to residents affected by the flooding.
The distribution of aid was carried out in Bojen Village, Sobang District, Pandeglang Regency, on Saturday (10/1/2026). This activity was coordinated by Ratu, a security officer of SEZ Tanjung Lesung, together with the local Muspika (Subdistrict Leadership Council). The aid provided included rice, instant noodles, and other basic necessities, which were received directly by the affected residents.
The Head of Bojen Village, H. Badrudin, explained that the flooding occurred due to the overflowing of the Cilatak River, which directly impacted the Bojen Village area, especially Bojen Kulon Hamlet.
“The water level of the Cilatak River has risen, causing the water to overflow and flood residents’ homes,” said H. Badrudin.
On the same occasion, H. Badrudin expressed his appreciation for the assistance provided by YPMBS and Jababeka Group.
“On behalf of the people of Bojen Village, I would like to extend my deepest thanks to the Yayasan Pengembangan Masyarakat Banten Selatan for their care in helping our residents,” he said.
Meanwhile, Poernomo Siswoprasetijo, President Director of Tanjung Lesung, said that through YPMBS they strive to be present to help communities affected by the flood disaster. He hopes that the assistance can ease the burden on residents and accelerate the recovery of the community’s condition.
“We strive to help communities affected by disasters by providing assistance through the Yayasan Banten Selatan (YPMBS), which was established by the founders of Tanjung Lesung and Jababeka Group,” said the man commonly known as Poernomo.
He added that YPMBS is a foundation established by Setyono Djuandi Darmono along with the founders of Tanjung Lesung and Jababeka Group as a form of social commitment to the surrounding community. Several social programs have been implemented, ranging from building fishermen’s houses, assistance in improving educational facilities, to support for the development of tourist villages.
