Jababeka and Tenants Encourage High or Vocational School Graduates Work Readiness Through JClass
Cikarang, September 9, 2026 – A SUBSIDIARY of PT Jababeka Tbk, PT Jababeka Infrastruktur – which manages the Jababeka Industrial Estate, continues to expand its social responsibility program through the Jababeka Community Acceleration Class (JClass). The goal of this program is to help high school and vocational school (SMA/SMK) graduates in Bekasi Regency get ready to enter the workforce or start their own businesses.
Recently, JClass was held at SMK Garuda Nusantara on Monday, August 31, 2026. This means there are now eight schools that have partnered in the program since JClass was launched, namely SMK Garuda Nusantara, SMK Bina Mitra, SMK Kitri Bakti, SMKN 2 Cikarang Pusat, SMK Islam Al-Amin, SMKN 2 Cikarang Barat, SMK Kesehatan Sentra Medika Cikarang, and SMK Dewantara 2 Cikarang Pusat.
“JClass was created to address the skills gap between high school or vocational school graduates and the needs of industries in Bekasi Regency, which is one of the largest industrial centers in Indonesia,” said Vega Violetta Puspa, Director of Jababeka Infrastruktur.
He added that the JClass program is run through three training tracks. First, the Career Acceleration Class, which focuses on mental readiness and professional work attitude. Second, the Digital Acceleration Class, to enhance digital and administrative skills. Third, the Entrepreneur Acceleration Class, for the development of local MSME players around the Jababeka Industrial Estate.
“What makes J-Class different from typical job training programs is the hands-on involvement of tenants or companies operating in the Jababeka Industrial Estate,” added Vega, as she is familiarly called.
The JClass program can take place thanks to collaboration with a number of tenants in the Jababeka Industrial Estate, including: PT Sintertech Indonesia, PT Precision Tools Service Indonesia, PT Dharma Controlcable Indonesia, PT Fukoku Tokai Rubber Indonesia, PT Astemo Bekasi Manufacturing, PT Asahi Cipta Prima, PT Cisindo, PT Mane Indonesia, PT Komatsu Undercarriage Indonesia, PT Asia Indopack Indonesia, PT Asia Indopack Industries, PT Hanes Supply Chain Indonesia, PT Yasufuku Indonesia, PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk, PT T.RAD Indonesia, PT Sari Takagi Elok Produk, PT Nippon Steel Indonesia, and PT Prodia Diagnostic Line.
The tenants are also actively involved in this program. Whether it’s as resource persons, trainers, or partners in preparing training materials. The result is that the materials students receive can be closer to the needs and competency standards required in the industry.
Students who have participated in this JClass program say that it helps them get a real picture of what they need to enter the workforce. From work ethic, company culture, personal attitude, to the skills currently in demand by businesses.
The school also sees the benefits of the program. After participating in JClass, students are considered to gain more targeted technical skills and work readiness. Meanwhile, for MSME players around the Jababeka Industrial Estate, mentoring through the Entrepreneur Acceleration Class helps them understand how to grow their business, expand their market, and see opportunities to connect with the industry’s supply chain.
So, what’s the ultimate goal of the JClass program? Jababeka Infrastruktur hopes to narrow the skills gap between high school/vocational graduates and the demands of the job market. That way, high school/vocational graduates in Bekasi Regency are expected to be more prepared and easily absorbed into the workforce, while also encouraging the growth of an inclusive and sustainable employment and entrepreneurship ecosystem for the local community around the area.
