Banten West Java Together with Bro Skydive Indonesia Prepares Skydiving Tourism in Tanjung Lesung
Jakarta, October 1, 2026 – TANJUNG Lesung, known as a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Tourism in Pandeglang, Banten, is continuously adding more attractions. Soon, visitors will be able to try skydiving while enjoying the view of Tanjung Lesung’s sea from above.
This plan follows the signing of a cooperation agreement between PT Banten West Java (BWJ), the manager and developer of the Tanjung Lesung Tourism SEZ, and PT Bro Skydive Indonesia for the development of skydiving, sport aviation, and aviation tourism activities in Tanjung Lesung, Pandeglang, Banten.
The signing of the cooperation agreement was done by Poernomo Siswoprasetijo as President Director of BWJ, W. Widiasmanto as Director of BWJ, as well as Fanny Kusuma Dewi as President Director of PT Bro Skydive Indonesia and Muhammad Rizki Fardani as Director of PT Bro Skydive Indonesia, at the President Lounge, ground floor of Menara Batavia, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (1/10/2026). The signing was also witnessed by Kunto Wijoyo, BWJ’s Operations Director and also Head of Salakanagara Tanjung Lesung Airport.
Just so you know, Tanjung Lesung SEZ is known as an integrated tourist spot with various activities and recreation spread over 1,500 hectares, developed by PT Banten West Java – one of the subsidiaries of PT Jababeka Tbk, and has received numerous national and international awards. Meanwhile, Bro Skydive Indonesia is known as a professional skydiving platform specializing in a safe skydiving experience, supported by internationally certified instructors and high-quality equipment.
After signing this cooperation agreement, PT Banten West Java will provide a location and land of approximately 9 hectares to support skydiving, sport aviation, and aviation tourism activities at Tanjung Lesung SEZ, Pandeglang-Banten. Meanwhile, PT Bro Skydive Indonesia will be responsible for the construction and development of infrastructure as well as providing facilities for skydiving, sport aviation, and aviation tourism activities at Tanjung Lesung SEZ.
Fanny Kusuma Dewi expressed her happiness and enthusiasm about the collaboration with Tanjung Lesung. She said she is optimistic about this partnership, believing it can benefit both parties while also boosting tourism in Indonesia.
“I’m very optimistic that everything will go well. Because Bro Skydive in Tanjung Lesung will be the only and first official operator in Indonesia with an international-standard dropzone, which we believe will attract a lot of international and domestic tourists,” explained Fanny Kusuma Dewi after the signing.
Fanny – her familiar nickname – shared that the dropzone in Tanjung Lesung will be a unique one. Because Tanjung Lesung, besides its natural beauty, also has complete infrastructure for skydiving, such as Salakanagara Airport with a hangar inside, supporting facilities like various accommodations not far from the jump site, and also sea and land adventure tourism activities. “So, once they finish the jump, they can try jet skiing, fishing, snorkeling, or island hopping. We can even make a package out of it,” Fanny explained.
The easier access to Tanjung Lesung also increasingly supports skydiving tourism activities following the completion of the Serang-Panimbang Toll Section 3A (Cileles–Bojong) in November 2026, said Fanny. Meanwhile, the entire Serang-Panimbang Toll is projected to be finished by the second quarter of 2027. Once fully operational, the toll is expected to cut travel time from Jakarta to Tanjung Lesung to around 2–2.5 hours, making trips for tourists from various regions easier and more comfortable.
Meanwhile, Poernomo Siswoprasetijo welcomed this collaboration and hoped it could materialize quickly. He believes, just like others, that this cooperation can benefit both parties and the aviation world, while also delivering a multiplier effect for the community.
“Hopefully today’s (cooperation) agreement can be a good step forward. So that everything planned for the development of skydiving in Tanjung Lesung can come true quickly,” said Poernomo Siswoprasetijo in his speech.
He also hopes that the presence of sports tourism activities, supported by accommodations, tourist activities, and Salakanagara Airport, can encourage young people to become more interested in skydiving or aviation sports. The market is quite broad, both from abroad and fans in Jabodetabek, which can help boost tourist visits to Tanjung Lesung.
Kunto Wijoyo added that they are ready to support whatever process Bro Skydive Indonesia needs to operate the skydiving facilities. Since Tanjung Lesung already has Salakanagara Airport with an airstrip, it can accommodate various aviation sports, including skydiving.
“The main work will be to create a nine (9) hectare landing zone, then extend the apron (the aircraft parking area), and the taxiway (the runway connecting to airport facilities), where the runway will be extended by 200 meters for safer landings. There will also be a building inside the hangar to serve as Bro Skydive’s office,” said Kunto Wijoyo.
Responding to that, Fanny explained that the construction process will be carried out immediately and they are targeting Bro Skydive to be operational by the second week of December 2026.
“We hope to be ready and operational by December. Before the year-end holidays, we will try to open,” Fanny concluded.
