Bekasi Power Back on Track

PT Jababeka Tbk (KIJA) is delighted to inform you that the repair of the power plant has finished ahead of schedule and that all machinery is currently operating at virtually the same capacity and efficiency as before the leakage was found.

In KIJA’s update dated 28 July 2016 we informed you that the boiler bank of one of the Heat Recovery Steam Generators (“HRSG”) was found leaking during a scheduled   maintenance in the second quarter of 2016 and that repairs were scheduled to be completed at the latest at the end of August.

The boiler bank, consisting of 720 tubes, has been re-tubed entirely in a process that required each old tube to be replaced with a new tube one by one. A lengthy process that was able to conclude ahead of schedule, thanks in large part due to excellent teamwork between PT Bekasi Power (BP) and contractor PT Babcock & Wilcox Asia, Indonesian subsidiary of Babcock and Wilcox.

BP is a wholly owned subsidiary of KIJA and in charge of operating and managing the power business for the group.

Thank you for your attention.
