Bakti Jababeka Bagimu Negeri

PT Jababeka Tbk participated in the regular annual event organized by the West Java Provincial Government in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs to held Kampung CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Program.

The program is held in commemoration of National Social Solidarity (HKSN) and as culmination of a whole series of social activities that have been implemented in various regions in Indonesia. Attending the ceremony were Indonesia’s Vice President who acted as Inspector of Ceremony, Minister of Social Affairs, the Governor of West Java, Director General for Social Development, Bogor regency Muspida and the CEOs of companies that carry out good and sustainable CSR programs.

The participation of PT Jababeka Tbk through BAKTI JABABEKA BAGIMU NEGERI in the peak of Social Solidarity Day event at Sentul Circuit, Kadimanggu Village, Bogor District Babakanmadang is a proof of the existence of PT Jababeka Tbk, a leading property development company that developed the City Jababeka in Cikarang, Bekasi, and West Java through its Corporate Social Rensponsibility programs.

As for some Jababeka’s CSR activities and programs that have been implemented including Community Development activities such as facilitating and working with tenants to get a job, economical waste management, road infrastructure repairements, construction of praying sites, the provision of school facilities and infrastructure, as well as provision of clean water outside region so that citizens can build restaurant business, rented houses, and boarding houses.

In the economic field, CSR Jababeka has conducted communities economic empowerment around the Jababeka Cikarang City with its business partners to create programs such as poultry farming and freshwater fish that rests on the principle of community development. In education, several projects of development / improvement of primary school buildings in the area of Bekasi has been successfully performed.

Additionally, the BAKTI JABABEKA BAGIMU NEGERI program has successfully channeled scholarships for excellent students and improvement of educational facilities in several places.

In the field of environment, CSR Jababeka held Pollution Prevention,a management and control of impacts arising from industrial activities program. Working closely with the Botanic Gardens and the community of plant lovers (botanist Club), CSR Jababeka will perform environmentally friendly campaign through several events that will be implemented this year.

Some of the materials that Jababeka CSR team provide shows that the business success achieved by the company successfully synergized with a variety of programs and social activities and community empowerment. Jababeka has commited that CSR is part of the company’s business processes to improve social welfare and environmental conservation.

When possible, CSR programs will be held through a partnership with other stakeholders, all tenants and residents in the Jababeka City. With support from various parties, including some shareholders and stakeholders, the role and the goal of Jababeka’s CSR is expected to be sustainable. The supports from regulators, in this case the local and provincial governments in terms of creation of a conducive investment climate for the passage of CSR programs Jababeka were also very helpful.

Commitment that PT Jababeka Tbk shows through its CSR program is proven by obtaining several awards such as:

• “3rd Best Practice” in the Indonesian CSR Award in the category field of the environment.
• Major Award from the Ministry of Housing.
• Green Property Award 2009 from the Ministry of Environment.
