Jababeka Inaugurated the First Fabrication Laboratory in an Industrial Estate

Jababeka inaugurated the first Fablab in an industrial area. The Jababeka Fablab has become a facilitator and a forum for all innovations from all walks of life.
Bisnis.com, JAKARTA – Jababeka, an independent city and industrial estate developer, officially opened a Fabrication Laboratory (Fablab) at the Medical Science Center, Kota Jababeka Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, West Java, on Tuesday (2/3/2021). The Jababeka Fablab is the result of a collaboration between a subsidiary of PT Jababeka Tbk., Namely PT Jababeka Infrastruktur with President University, and has made it the first Fablab in Indonesia located in an industrial area. “We present this Jababeka Fablab as a facilitator and forum to pour all innovations from all walks of life, such as students, technicians, workers, communities, startup companies, enabling them to learn and implement Industry 4.0,” said the Director of PT. Jababeka Tbk. Tjahjadi Rahardja.
Jababeka Fablab will focus more on competency development and development of invoice prototypes for industrial tenants.
Tjahjadi, through a written statement on Tuesday (2/3/2021) explained that the Jababeka Fablab carries five main pillars, namely the pillars of showcase, capability, ecosystem, delivery, and innovation. The five pillars are in line with the goals of PIDI 4.0. (Industrial Digital Innovation Center 4.0). PIDI 4.0 is a government program in developing innovation and human resources for the realization of Indonesia 4.0. President University Chancellor Jony Haryanto, who participated in the development of the Jababeka Fablab, said that the Jababeka Fablab facility allows industry players, especially in the Jababeka area to be able to meet all their needs in the Industry 4.0 era through the Fablab Showcase.
In addition, the Jababeka Fablab can improve individual capabilities through group discussion forums, workshops, training, and seminars that will be held by the Fablab.
The Jababeka Fablab is also said to be the first Fablab to have the support of a mature ecosystem that is ready to welcome the Industry 4.0 era. This ecosystem is formed from the participation and collaboration of a number of stakeholders in the Jababeka area such as educational institutions, communities, living labs, investors, accelerators, companies, media and the government. Tjahjadi hopes that the support of this ecosystem can accelerate the conventional industry towards Industry 4.0 and bring Industry 4.0 solution providers together with other companies that need this solution.
