Jababeka Invites 5 Villages to Collaborate to Build Smart-Eco City Through Jababeka Eco Award Build Smart-Eco City

PT Jababeka Tbk is committed to consistently maintaining environmental cleanliness and sustainable development in Kota Jababeka – Cikarang and in villages around the area. One of them is through the Jababeka Eco Award program, a cleaning competition event to appreciate the achievements of the community associations (RW) who are able to maintain the cleanliness of the environment around the Jababeka area and are dedicated in realizing Smart Eco City.

Tjahjadi Rahardja as Deputy President Director of PT Jababeka Tbk explained that Jababeka has changed, which started as an industrial area, has now become an independent modern city through the presence of beautiful and commercial residential areas as well as various leading-edge facilities. Whether it’s school facilities to international-standard universities, 3 national-standard hospitals, Jababeka Golf & Country Club, and international-class sports facilities, transportation facilities, and modern shopping centers such as Living Plaza Jababeka and Hollywood Junction Lifestyle Center.

Then, now Jababeka aims to become a modern city that is independent and can meet the needs of present and future generations, namely developing the concept of Smart Eco City. Therefore, the Jababeka Eco Award activities are based on the desire of Kota Jababeka to become a Smart Eco City.

More deeply, Tjahjadi added that the purpose of holding the Jababeka Eco Award was to invite the community around the Jababeka area to jointly protect the environment and build a Smart Eco City. So that the village environment around the Jababeka area becomes a clean, green environment, guaranteed public health and realizes a Smart Eco City. Because, without the participation of the local community, the development of Smart Eco City will not run effectively.

Meanwhile, Major General TNI (Ret.) Sumardi as Head of the Jababeka city council added, “Deeply, our hope with the presence of the Jababeka Eco Award is that there is a synergy in protecting the environment from the government, Jababeka and the local community,” said Sumardi, during the opening of the event on the ground floor. , Hollywood Junction Jababeka, Kota Jababeka, Tuesday (28/12/2021)

Sumardi said that the Jababeka Eco Award’s target is to invite community associations (RW) in the area around the Jababeka area, namely North Cikarang District, East Cikarang, Central Cikarang and consists of: 5 villages namely Mekar Mukti Village, Simpangan Village, Jatireja Village , And Jaya, Jaya Mukti Village where there are a total of around 27 RWs.

For the RW who won the Jababeka Eco Award, Jababeka has provided a total prize of tens of millions of rupiah. The cleaning competition period with the tagline Synergy to Build Smart-Eco City starts from December 2021 – May 2022 and the awarding is planned to be held in June 2022.

Meanwhile, the assessment aspect, said Sumardi, is based on cleanliness, greenery and tidiness. “To get the results of the assessment, later the Jababeka team and the environmental assessment team will come to each RW periodically to see how the progress is until the implementation of their program is complete,” said Sumardi. Sumardi explained.

Sumardi also explained that the Jababeka Eco Award will be held every year and will not only focus on cleanliness, waste management, Green Open Space (RTH) and maximizing the function of drainage channels. But it is possible that events in the following years will develop even more, such as renewable energy.

Responding to this, H Akhmad Marjuki, SE as the Acting Regent of Bekasi Regency, welcomed the Jababeka Eco Award cleaning competition program held by Jababeka. Because he believes the presence of this program will increase people’s motivation in maintaining the cleanliness and beauty of their environment.

“Hopefully what has been planned this morning will be blessed by Allah swt. So that later it will be easier, so that what Jababeka aspires to can be easily realized,” said Akhmad Marjuki.

In his remarks, Akhmad Marjuki also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to PT Jababeka Tbk. Because, not only has Jababeka Eco Award held positive activities to build a Smart Eco City in Bekasi Regency, Jababeka has also actively contributed in various ways. Starting from helping prevent COVID-19 to assisting the district government in improving the quality of life and prosperity of the community.

Therefore, Akhmad Marjuki directed all regional officials to support the Jababeka Eco Award program so that it could run smoothly and the RWs to actively participate.

“Building a Smart Eco City, of course, is in line with the vision of the local government in structuring, especially in the Bekasi Regency area. Because it is in line with local government programs. Therefore, I also encourage regional officials, including sub -district heads, lurah and village heads to be able to actively participate in reviving the Smart Eco City in Bekasi Regency,” said Akhmad Marjuki.
