Jababeka Provide Eco-Friendly Transportation in Cikarang with BEAM Mobility
PT Jababeka Tbk through one of its subsidiaries, namely Jababeka Residence as the developer and management of Jababeka City-Cikarang, in collaboration with BEAM Mobility which is the largest micromobility company in Asia Pacific. There is one type of fleet presented in Kota Jababeka, Beam Rover. Now Beam Rover is one of the options that can be used by residents in Jababeka City to do activities in the area.
“As a developer of modern residential areas, we continue to provide something new for residents who choose Jababeka City as a place to live. The collaboration with BEAM provides a long-term opportunity to add a row of transportation that can be used by the residents of Jababeka City. Jababeka City residents will get a 50% disc promo valid from 05 to 18 May 2023. Payment systems using Beam Rover are carried out non-cash through digital wallets in the form of OVO, DANA, and ShopeePay. Beam Rover can also be accessed every day for 24 hours and each fleet is provided with a backup battery for anticipation when the installed battery runs out of power on the trip.
In Jababeka City, Beam Rover is provided as many as 150 units and there will be a gradual addition of up to 1000 units spread across predetermined location points such as Hollywood Junction, President University, Sudirman Boulevard, Monroe Apartment, Elvis Apartment, Beverly Hills, Hollywood Boulevard, Ibis Hotel, and the Tropicana, Cataluna, Djava Residence, and Candi Residence clusters.
Head of Expansion Beam Mobility Indonesia, Valentinus Ricky Sjofyan said in addition to big cities in Indonesia, Beam also targets several community settlements, one of which is Jababeka City.
“We are doing this effort to facilitate user mobility. We also remain focused on supporting the Indonesian government’s program to reduce carbon emissions starting from the locations closest to community residences, we hope this service can be well received by the surrounding community,” he said.

In addition to being safe and environmentally friendly, Beam Rover electric bikes are equipped with IoT communication features that can upload the status of each fleet directly and detect when there are problems on roads or special bicycle lanes, including when batteries need to be replaced or in other emergencies.
Beam Mobility already operates scooter and e-bike services in more than 60 cities in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Thailand, Korea, and Turkey. In Indonesia, Beam Mobility has been present in Bogor, Bali, Tangerang, South Jakarta, and currently in Jababeka City- Cikarang.
For the safety of users, the speed of the Beam Rover electric bike has been set so that users cannot drive the bike more than 25 kilometers per hour. The fee charged is Rp1,750 for each access, which is then charged Rp700 every minute.
