Jababeka Together with Transjakarta Inaugurates Transjabodetabek Bus Service Route Cawang–Cikarang Jababeka

Cikarang, February 13, 2026IN order to improve accessibility and the quality of cross-regional public transportation services, the Ministry of Transportation, the Transportation Office of DKI Jakarta, and the Transportation Office of Bekasi Regency, together with PT Jababeka Tbk and PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta), officially held a flag-off ceremony for the operation of the Transjabodetabek Bus service on the Cawang–Jababeka route. This event marks a strategic step in supporting the mobility of people in industrial areas and commercial zones in Jababeka City and its surroundings.

The flag-off ceremony was held at Hollywood Junction, Jababeka City, on February 12, 2026, attended by the Regent of Bekasi, regional government leaders, management of PT Jababeka Tbk, PT Transportasi Jakarta, as well as invited guests from various related agencies. This ceremony signifies the commencement of the Transjabodetabek bus service operations connecting the strategic industrial area of Jababeka with the Cawang area in Jakarta.

The management of PT Jababeka Tbk stated that the operation of this route is part of the company’s commitment to providing an industrial area integrated with a sustainable public transportation system.

“As an integrated industrial-based independent city, Jababeka is committed to creating a comfortable, connected, and productive urban ecosystem. The presence of the Transjabodetabek route from Cawang to Jababeka is a strategic step in strengthening the connectivity of the area, facilitating mobility for workers, business actors, and the community, while also promoting the adoption of low-carbon mobility through public transportation. Reliable access not only enhances daily travel comfort but also strengthens the productivity of the area and the competitiveness of Jababeka City as a sustainable regional economic growth center,” said Ivonne Anggraini, President Director of PT Graha Buana Cikarang.

The launch of the Cawang–Jababeka route is expected to provide a safe, comfortable, and affordable public transportation alternative, especially for industrial area workers, business operators, and people who are active in commercial areas. In addition, this service is also expected to reduce dependence on private vehicles and support efforts to decrease congestion and carbon emissions.

Transjabodetabek route Cawang-Jababeka operates every day at 05.00–22.00 WIB with a total of 14 fleets. This service offers pocket-friendly rates of only IDR 3,500 per trip (regular schedule), and even this service provides a special price of IDR 2,000 per trip for travel schedules from 05.00 – 07.00 am. Along its route, TransJabodetabek serves strategic points such as Cawang Sentral, Grand Wisata Bekasi, Living Plaza Jababeka, Jababeka Hollywood Junction, Arcade Boulevard, and several other points before returning to the starting point. The presence of this route is expected to make it easier to connect from the Jababeka area to Jakarta and vice versa. 

The local government, in this case the Acting Regent of Bekasi, expressed its appreciation for the collaboration between the Ministry of Transportation, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, Transjakarta operators, PTDI-STTD, and the management of the Jababeka area, which encouraged the realization of Transjabodetabek services to reach Cikarang.

“This is proof that strong collaboration can create an integrated transportation system that meets the mobility needs of the industrial area’s community. This corridor is not just a new route, but part of an integrated transportation system that will strengthen the competitiveness of the industrial area and improve worker mobility efficiency,” said Asep Surya Atmaja, Acting Regent of Bekasi.

Not only connected through the Transjabodetabek service, Kota Jababeka is also supported by various transportation connectivity, ranging from DAMRI Soekarno–Hatta Airport, Primajasa Bandung, AO Shuttle (Jababeka–Deltamas and Jababeka–Blok M routes), to Swatantra S01 which is integrated with the KRL Station. This area is further strengthened by four toll gate accesses as well as the development of strategic infrastructure such as MRT Phase III Cikarang–Balaraja and Jakarta–Cikarang LRT, which are planned to stop in the city center. In addition, the presence of EV Charging Stations reinforces Jababeka’s commitment to providing a modern and sustainable mobility ecosystem.

“With the increasingly complete infrastructure and integrated transportation system, Kota Jababeka offers real added value for residents as well as positive prospects for investors. As an industrial-based self-sufficient city, we create an area that is not only comfortable to live and work in but also promises sustainable growth in the future,” concluded Ivonne.
