Jababeka Wins Two CSR Awards from Bekasi Regency Government

CIKARANG – The Bekasi Regency Government (Pemkab) gave awards to companies that have contributed to implementing the Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSR) program on Wednesday (14/12) at the Holiday Inn Hotel.

Of the eight award categories given by the Bekasi Regency Government, PT Jababeka Tbk is the only company that has won two awards at once, namely (1) Best Infrastructure Responsibility CSR Awards and (2) Best Industrial Estate Management CSR Awards as the Best Industrial Estate. The award was handed over directly by DR. H. Dani Ramdan, M.T as the Acting Regent of Bekasi.

Jababeka, until now, has 5 Pillars of the Jabat (Jababeka Bersahabat) CSR Program which is run annually, namely Jabat Pendidikan, Jabat Sehat, Jabat Ekonomi, Jabat Lingkungan and Jabat Sosia-Budaya. The purpose of Jababeka’s CSR program is to establish sustainable business and environmental harmonization, through intense engagement, and benefit community development.

In the awarding ceremony, the Bekasi Regency Government also synchronized the Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility Development Activity Plan (SINERGI TJSLP) through a presentation and discussion with the Acting Regent of Bekasi with the theme of Accelerating the Development of Bekasi Regency through Collaboration on Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility. At the event, Jababeka also signed a commitment to implement TJSLP for 2023.

Managing Director of PT Jababeka Infrastruktur, Dr. Agung Wicaksono, M.Sc., MBA, IPU, expressed his gratitude to the Bekasi Regency Government for appreciating the role of the private sector in supporting the government through the company’s CSR program.

Furthermore, Agung – as he is usually called – explained that one of the things the company does is to benefit the surrounding environment so that there is a ‘social license to operate’, namely community support for the company’s operations.

To ensure this, the TJSLP or CSR carried out is an effort to maintain the sustainability of the business ecosystem in the Jababeka-Cikarang Industrial Estate and the surrounding community through useful and dignified means.

“The next step is how the CSR of the tenants (Jababeka-Cikarang Industrial Estate) can also be synergized with Jababeka CSR. So, the impact is more significant and helps achieve the government’s goals as well,” he concluded.
