Kendal Industrial Park Wins Top 100 Best Industrial Area Award from the Manpower Ministry

Jakarta, December 8KENDAL Industrial Park has once again solidified its reputation at the national level after receiving an award in the Best 100 Industrial Areas category at the Norma 100 Award 2025 event on Monday (12/8) in Jakarta. The award, presented by the Manpower Ministry, is an important recognition of Kendal Industrial Park’s commitment to maintaining and implementing high labor standards in the area.

Currently, Kendal Industrial Park has been trusted by 135 business actors from various industrial sectors and countries. The total employment realized in Kendal Industrial Park up to the third quarter of 2025 has reached 38,001 workers, the majority of whom come from Kendal Regency.

This growth not only highlights the region’s attractiveness for investment but also its concrete contribution to local economic development. Since 2020, Kendal Industrial Park has played a role in reducing the Open Unemployment Rate (OUR) in Kendal Regency by 2.9%, from 7.56% in 2020 to 4.6% in September 2025. This achievement further underlines the positive impact of the zone in improving regional welfare.

The 2025 Norma 100 award was received directly by Juliani Kusumaningrum as Executive Director of the Kendal Industrial Park. In her speech, Juliani – as she is familiarly called – emphasized that this achievement is the result of close collaboration among various parties, ranging from park managers, business actors, to the central and regional governments.

“We are, of course, grateful and proud of this award. This achievement would not have been possible without the collective commitment of business actors, government support, and the hard work of all stakeholders at KIP (Kendal Industrial Park),” said Juliani.

He added that his team will continue to strengthen guidance, monitoring, and education for business actors to ensure the implementation of labor standards becomes more mature and has a real impact on workers.

Winning the Normal 100 Award in 2025 further strengthens the position of the Kendal Industrial Park as an industrial zone that not only focuses on accelerating investment but also commits to responsible and sustainable labor practices. With increasingly strong governance standards, the Kendal Industrial Park continues to build a balance between industrial growth, worker welfare, and regulatory compliance. This is an important foundation for creating a competitive and inclusive industrial zone.
