The Customs and Quarantine Cooperation at Cikarang Dry Port

With the upcoming quarantine facility in Cikarang Dry Port, the Customs and Excise along with the Quarantine and Cikarang Dry Port (CDP) held a coordination meeting at Kota Jababeka Cikarang on 9 June 2011. The agenda is to formulate a joint working procedure between the Customs and Quarantine.

This joint working procedure will become a reference for both goverment institution to perform their tasks and functions at CDP working area. It is expected that the harmonization could lead to an increased efficiency and efectivity of services, especially for all service users.

As a KPPT (Integrated Customs Services Zone), Cikarang Dry Port acts as an integrated logistics terminal with port and customs functions, including the quarantine facility. The one roof service offers simplicity and added values for export import activities of those service users which are mainly located in the industrial estates zone from Bekasi to Cikampek, West Java.
